I no longer understand you, capitalism
Dec. 4th, 2024 07:00 pmI am now looking at the Telus home page, and seriously considering an offer where they will hand me a $1000 phone for $0 down, $0 a month if I stay with them for 24 months of a $60/month contract.
I understand neither the game or the endgame of "give away a thousand-dollar phone in return for $1440 that you would be getting anyway". Every single thing about this entire offer seems like birdseed under a box propped up by a stick with a string, a picture of a phone taped on a tunnel painted on a cliff wall.
And yet if I decide I want a Samsung S24, I am three clicks away from getting it for free.
